MECCA Construction is an Auckland-based residential construction and inspection company, servicing North Auckland, Central Auckland, and West Auckland. Founded by Ian Mills and Liam Ackland, MECCA brings together over 25 years of combined industry experience.

Liam brings extensive experience in renovations and extensions, particularly throughout the Central Auckland region, with a strong background working on character villas. He also has significant experience delivering unique, custom outdoor spaces, including bespoke decks, patios, and pool projects. Liam has been operating independently for over 10 years and has more than 15 years of qualified building experience.

Ian has over 10 years of building experience, specialising in high-end residential and luxury homes. With his previous employer, Ian worked as one of the Lead Builders on the 2025 Master Build House of the Year Gold Award Winner in the $2–4 million New Build category.

Together, Liam and Ian have teamed up to combine their extensive skill sets and industry knowledge. Their complementary backgrounds allow them to manage projects ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and outcomes tailored to each client’s vision.
